Wanda Earlene
Claunch
Sep 7, 1937 — Jul 9, 2020
Wanda was born on a farm in Marshall, Oklahoma on September 7th 1937, to Charles (Chod) Kelly and Vivian Larsen Kelly. She was raised in Dover, Oklahoma where she went to school and graduated. Wanda worked as a nurse aid at Kingfisher Hospital for many years.
In November of 1976 she married Robert Claunch and she was finally able to quit work and enjoy life.
Wanda enjoyed writing the Dover Doins for many years, she loved Dover and stayed active in the community until her health would no longer allow her to do so. She loved her church family at the Dover Christian Church and really missed attending services with family and friends once she could no longer go. Even though her health would no longer allow her to attend she remained a loyal "Doverite" as she called herself, and would often say it was the biggest little town in Oklahoma. She said one of her greatest achievements was going back to school and graduating while raising her children,
Wanda is survived by her five children. Kelly, Sherri Mayes, Chesapeake Virginia, Karla, John Ludwig, Okarche, Tara, Jerry Kinsel, Pinetop, Arizona, Bret, Sandi Mayes, Dover, Brad, Jana Mayes, Cashion. Fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. One sister Debi, Keith Trout, Dover. Three stepsisters Dona Kay, Melvin Terrell, Dover, Betty, Tom Edwards, Michigan, Ruthie Bilderback, Guthrie.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Claunch, her parents Charles (Chod) and Vivian Kelly Vincent, stepfather Donald Vincent, brother Jimmy Lars Kelly, precious great grandson Luke Robert Yarrow and brother in law James Bilderback.
