Obituary


Stanley Joe Kadavy was born to Jerry and Mary Kadavy April 30, 1935, fifth child of seven, and he passed away January 13, 2021. He was 85 years old.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elaine Schaberg Kadavy, their children Gayla Hunt and husband Jon of Kingfisher, Kem Kadavy and wife Teresa of Stillwater, and Charla Wiens and husband Ron of Yukon,Oklahoma. Grandchildren surviving him are James and Cindy Hunt, Melissa and Nathan Hobbs, and Levi Hunt and special friend Madison Bobbitt. Kyle Kadavy and special friend Keirstin Bebermeyer, Kendra and Josh Gore, Klint and Julie Kadavy, Nathan Kadavy, Hannah Kadavy, Ben Kadavy and special friend Kaydee King, Rachel Wiens, Jacob Wiens, Josh Wiens, Stephanie and Will Buchanan. Great grandchildren surviving Stanley are Drake and Emma Gore, Canyon Hunt, Kinslee Corfee, Aubrey Burpo, Kadence and Kaura Kadavy, Gena Jackson, Addyson and Brynlee Buchanan.

Stanley was preceded in death by a son Dale Kadavy.

Stanley graduated from Big Four in May 1953. He married Elaine Schaberg at Federated Church, October 27, 1956. They established a home northeast of Loyal, where they have lived for 64 years. Together they established Kadavy Dairy, wheat and alfalfa farms. Stanley didn't miss a milking in his first 15 years.

Stanley served on Lomega School Board for 15 years. He was an active member of Lomega Lions Club, the Loyal community, and Federated Church!

He was an avid follower of Lomega basketball and rarely missed a game for over 40 years.

Stanley loved to spray weeds along fence lines, mow, drive around checking cattle, fish, watch OSU basketball and football and riding around on his Ranger. He took much pride keeping his place neat! He loved going to the coop and play pitch with his farm friends!

He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids,and great grandkids. They always remember listening to him sing " You are my Sunshine " to them as he rocked or sat with them.

A public graveside service will be Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at Kingfisher Cemetery. ( Mask and social distancing are required). Services are under direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stanley's name to Lomega Lions Club.
