Ruthie Mae Snider, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-grandmother, age 91, passed away January 25, 2019 at Cimarron Nursing Home, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Ms. Snider has 6 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren with many nieces and nephews and always enjoyed receiving up-to-date pictures and stories as the children grew up.

Ms. Snider was born October 15, 1927 in Bethany, Oklahoma to parents Jewel Pate Guess and Maudie Alta Guess. Ms. Snider and family moved to Calera, Oklahoma in her early childhood years attending Calera Public School and reared in the Methodist Church. Following High School, Ms. Snider supported the war effort with employment at a local factory where goods were sent in support of troops fighting overseas.

Ms. Snider was married to the late Robert Lee Snider Sr. and traveled for several years thru-out Oklahoma and Kansas in the High Voltage Construction business, where her husband was a lineman before settling in rural Caddo, Oklahoma to start and operate a family Dairy Business for many years. Ms. Snider loved naming her cows and calves, and had names for most of them, with her favorite cow she named ' Dresser'. Ms. Snider was also a self-taught seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her children that looked store bought.

Before her retirement, Ms. Snider was officially requested to replicate a Military Unit Flag Guidon by her oldest son's Active Duty Army Command for use in an official Military Change of Command Ceremony in a Military District of Washington Aviation Command in August 1992. This incredible accomplishment resulted in an official letter of appreciation sent to Ms. Snider by the Army Military Command where the official Change of Command was officiated. That Flag Guidon is in official retirement today in Virginia.

Ms. Snider moved to Okarche, Oklahoma with failing health to be close to her daughter and son who were her angelic caregivers and by her side at her passing. Ms. Snider is survived by her daughter, Debra Snider Niles and husband, Terry; son, William Jewel Snider, both of Okarche, Oklahoma and Robert Lee Snider Jr. and wife, Jeanie of Newport News, Virginia, and sister, Eva Snider of Caddo, Oklahoma.

Ms. Snider was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Alta Guess; daughter, Pauline Calcote-Snider; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kelsie Marksberry and Anastayja and Liam Marksberry-Merideth.

A cremation service and final arrangements are being assisted by Sanders Funeral Services, Kingfisher, Oklahoma with a Celebration of Life and Internment to be announced at a later date. The family requests that Memorials may be made to a local Alzheimer's Foundation. A thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, staff of Cimarron Nursing Home and Valir Hospice in Kingfisher, Oklahoma for their comfort and care provided to our Mom.
