Nadine Perdue, 95, passed away to her heavenly home, on Monday, December 10, 2018, while residing at 1st Shamrock Care Center in Kingfisher. She was born in Kingfisher County on February 1, 1923, to Tom and Rose Stolz Wells. She grew up on farms in the Kingfisher and Dover areas. She attended Spring Valley Grade school and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1941 where she excelled in her studies and music.
On April 11, 1943, she married Eugene Perdue, of Altona/Omega, at the First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher. They purchased a farm NE of Kingfisher where they resided for many years raising wheat, alfalfa hay, cattle and dairy. To their union three daughters were born, Cheryl, Charlene and Cheila, who attended Big Four School and were active in the community.
Gene and Nadine were members of the First United Methodist Church and served in many areas of the church. Nadine taught Sunday school, was active in UMW Circles, sang in the choir, which she loved, played piano in church as well as community events. As a child she attended The Evangelical Church of Kingfisher with Rev. Flucke as her Pastor. Her Faith and love for the Lord was a very important part of her life.
Nadine worked at Town & Country Dress Shop and many years at Solomon's Agency during tax preparation. Of course, her main life's work was homemaking on the farm with many tasks and raising her children.
She loved living in the country on the farm, where every day included a brisk walk on the country road for exercise and inspiration from the outdoors. She was an excellent cook and was known for her delicious apple & cherry pies which were devoured by her son's-in-law and grandchildren whenever the family gathered. Nadine loved flowers, especially roses (her mother's name, Rose) the color pink in all shades, shape & form, with powder blue a close second. Her collection of dolls grew by many over the years. She loved babies, her own, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and anyone else's she would meet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale Wells, husband Eugene Perdue, daughter Cheryl Jech, son-in-law AJ Jech and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include, Charlene (Daryl) Halverson, Cheila (Ed) Evey, grandchildren, Susan Jech McCaleb, Brad (Venessa) Halverson, Jeff (Amy) Halverson, Clay Willms, Cara Willms, and Chad (Tammy) Willms.
Great grandchildren, Brittney Aleman (Eric) Brown, Ashley Aleman, Abigail Aleman and McKenzie McCaleb, Avery, Nathan and Annabel Halverson, Kinsleigh and Kaden Willms, and Brody Willms. Great-Greatgrandchildren, Byron, Elliot Jean & Darrow Brown.
Sister- in-law, Trudy Wells and children, Tom, Linda & Roslynn. As well as, other cousins, nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be given to The United Methodist Women of Kingfisher or the charity of your choice.
Services are scheduled Monday, December 17, 10:30 am at The First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
