Obituary

Mary Emma Lindsey, of Kingfisher, OK passed away October 22, 2018 at the age of 98 yrs. She was born September 23, 1923 to Claire and Myrtle McVeigh of Waco, Texas. She married Robert 'Bob' Lindsey on May 27, 1950 and resided in Kingfisher, OK for nearly 60 years. She was a loving mom, grandmother, farmer, rancher and owner of Jiffy Stop for many years.

Mary never meet a stranger, ever. Most of her friends and a lot of her family have preceded her in death; we can only imagine the reunion that occurred the moment she arrived. She was as ornery as the day is long and she loved to laugh. She was a wonderful grandma, as her grandkids will attest, as well as her nephews, and nieces.
Everyone has an "Aunt Mary" story!!! As one granddaughter said "She was someone who was years ahead of her time, always sassin', not afraid to speak up, and fiercely protective over her loved ones". Someone who let us be us, and filled our childhood with so many great memories. We will miss you and we love you GM. So thankful you are free!!!

She is survived by her daughter, Janne Jons and husband Randy of Norman, OK;
and son Ray Lindsey and wife Nancy of Kingfisher, OK; Grandchildren: Josh McKown and wife Cindy of Mustang, OK; Erik Phillips and wife Lacey of Tulsa, OK.; Ashley Lindsey of Edmond, OK.; Cassie Murray and husband Sonny of Kingfisher, OK.; Jason Phillips and wife Kristina of Tulsa, OK.; Luke Lindsey and wife Jessica of Redding, CA.; and great-grandchildren: Jimmie Leroy Phillips, Press Lindsey Phillips, Breaunna McKown, Presley McKown, Ansley Pratts, Avery Pratts, Leni Murray, Paige Murray, Sloan Murray, Max Murray, Braedon McKown as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, her mother, father and only brother Claire McVeigh Jr.
