Obituary

Marvia "Jean" Guth, 91, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away April 9, 2026.

Jean was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, on October 15, 1934, to Christine and U.J. Kuntz, alongside her twin sister, Myrna "Jane" Wortham. She was raised with her seven siblings on a farm in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and attended Kingfisher High School. Jean was the last of her siblings to pass.

Jean married Paul Guth on July 2, 1955, at the Balboa Naval Chapel in San Diego, California. Paul, originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and Jean made their home in California, where they raised their four children: Janine D'Anna (John), Brian Guth, Nancy Guth, and Don Guth. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Guth, in 2011.

The family extends sincere thanks to the hospice workers at Agape Care Group (formerly Crossroads Hospice Care). Their compassion and kindness will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a hospice organization of your choice or the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kingfisher.
