Margaret Nadine Murphy, age 95, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Oklahoma City. She was born on June 25, 1930, to Alfred Ross "Slim" Stroud and Nannie Imogene Thompson Stroud.

Margaret attended Kingfisher Public Schools and spent much of her life working as a waitress in local restaurants.

In 1995, she married Decatur "Dee" Murphy. She was the proud mother of six children: daughters Lou McAlexander, Margie Johnston, Vi Shipley, and Vernia Reuter, and sons Willard Smith and Zack Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Nannie; her husband, Dee; brothers Gerald, Alfred, and Troy Stroud and ; sisters Beatrice Gaither, Ann Louise McLaurin, and Margie Burpo; two infant brothers, Chester Eugene Stroud and George Elmer Stroud; and her daughters Lou McAlexander, Margie Johnston, Vi Shipley, and Vernia Reuter.

Margaret is survived by her sons Willard and Zack Smith, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Kingfisher Cemetery, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
