Margaret Jo Brown, 75, of Kingfisher, OK, went home to the Lord on September 23, 2020, at Kingfisher Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher, OK.
Margaret Jo Brown was born to John and Clara Antelope on November 10, 1944. She was the youngest of 10 siblings. Margaret was raised and attended school in Kingfisher, Oklahoma where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She could often be found serving food in the kitchen for church related events. In Kingfisher, she met and married Earl Wayne Brown, March 5, 1970 where there are three stepchildren and three children born to this union.
In her earlier years, she loved dancing and hanging at the local juke joints. She also had a love for playing cards, bingo, and crossword puzzles. In her later years, she enjoyed taking grandchildren to fairs, circuses, and other fun events. Above all, she was a caring grandmother that loved all of her family to be together for every holiday. Margaret had a big heart and knew no stranger. Everyone was welcome in her home for a hot meal. She was the kind of person who would give her last.
Margaret was a healthcare worker for over thirty years and before retiring, she worked at Lucky Star Casino. She spent her retirement years going out to eat, watching cowboy shows, and playing solitary. Margaret was loved in the community and will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in death by both her parents, sisters and brother, and son-in-law. But leaves behind a legacy of loved ones which includes: her husband Earl Wayne, her sister Naomi Pena of Texas, her sister Dina Norwood, her daughters Clarressa (Oklahoma City, Ok.), Earlicia (Kingfisher, Ok), and Almanita (Kingfisher,Ok), her sons Roy (Enid), Kevin & Joy (Edmond), and Earl Jr (East Moline, ILL), grandchildren, great grandchildren, great greatchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday October 2, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the Wake Service will be at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sanders Funeral Chapel 124 E. Broadway, Kingfisher, OK 73750.
Funeral Services will be at the 1st Baptist Church 423 N. 5th St. Kingfisher, OK 73750 Saturday October 3rd at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service of Kingfisher, OK 73750.
