Obituary

In Loving Memory of Linda Diana Tucker

Linda Diana (Loper-Schroeder) Tucker was born on February 13, 1949, in Lindsborg, Kansas, to Sammie D. and Letha June (Britt) Loper. She attended Kingfisher Public Schools, graduating in 1967, and later earned her beautician's license from the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology in 1968. Throughout her life, Linda touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved most.

On May 16, 1992, Linda married her beloved William "Bill" Tucker. Together, they shared a special love and companionship that became an important and lasting part of their family's lives, particularly those of their children and grandchildren.

Linda's greatest joy was her family. She was the very best Nana anyone could ask for-a steady source of love, comfort, and support. She helped nurture and raise her grandchildren, giving of herself freely and never complaining about what was asked of her. Whenever they needed her, she was there. Through countless everyday acts of love, Linda showed her family just how deeply she cared. The special bond she shared with her grandchildren and the love she and Bill poured into their lives helped shape the people they are today. Her family will forever be grateful for the time, care, and unconditional love she gave so freely.

Family was at the heart of everything Linda did. She cherished family gatherings and had a way of making every occasion feel special. Holidays were especially meaningful, with meals that were always over the top and a home filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness. She found so much joy in bringing her family around the table, creating memories and traditions that will live on for generations.

Linda had a style all of her own. She was always beautifully and thoughtfully put together, with an eye for even the smallest detail. Her sense of style was unmistakable, just like her personality, and it was one of the many things that made her so uniquely Linda.

Linda always enjoyed following her favorite sports teams. OU and OSU football games were a familiar sight on her television, and she was an enthusiastic Oklahoma City Thunder fan who cheered on her team with pride. Her family will especially miss the play-by-play text messages she sent during games, a small but special tradition that was so uniquely Linda.

For 16 years, Linda served the Center of Family Love as a job coach, group home supervisor, and transportation driver. She also played an instrumental role in establishing two locations for coffee shops and sweets. Her work reflected her caring nature, generous spirit, and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Linda was an active member of the Plainview HCE Club, where she served as secretary for several years. Her talents extended into the kitchen and beyond, earning her numerous Grand Champion ribbons at the Kingfisher County Fair for her cakes, cookies, and quilt making. She was also a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Kingfisher and the Kingfisher American Legion Auxiliary.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, family traditions, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She taught her family the importance of showing up, caring for one another, and making the most of their time together. Her love will continue through every family gathering, holiday meal, football game, and story shared about the wonderful woman they were blessed to call Mom and Nana.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammie Loper and Letha Pierson. Her brothers Joe and Steve Loper. She is survived by: her husband Bill, her children, Eric (Mary Beth), Amber, Heather (Jay), and Shanelle; and her grandchildren, Amanda Schovanec (Joe), Tess (Clay), Stacia Schroeder, Zoe Giannakopoulos, Connor Chaloupek, Isabella Giannakopoulos, Macy Schroeder, Honorary grandchildren: Brandon (Helen), Jordan, Amelia and Maddie Hanlan. Five great-grandchildren, Aspen, Joseph, Ansley, Kinslee and Myla. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, bother-in-law, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love Linda gave will never fade. She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, loving wife, and the best Nana-a woman whose greatest gift was the family she loved so dearly.

Funeral Service will be held at Sanders Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
