Obituary

Kenneth Dale Todd | 1931 - 2024

Kenneth Dale Todd, age 92, of Kingfisher, OK was called home to be with Jesus on February 15th, 2024. He was born in Crescent, OK on October 2, 1931 to John and Viva Todd.

Kenneth enlisted into the United States Army at age 17 where he was assigned to the 45th Infantry Division as part of a heavy weapons squad specializing in the use of the 75mm recoilless rifle. Shortly thereafter he was deployed to Korea where he fought in the Korean War and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. During his time in the service, Kenneth was also an undefeated boxer. After two years, he was discharged and returned home to Kingfisher.

Upon his return, he started to court Shirley Ahlefeld. Kenneth and Shirley were married October 4, 1952. They had a loving marriage lasting nearly 72 years. He along with the help of his father-in-law, Pete Ahlefeld, built the home that he and Shirley would raise their children in. Over the years, multiple generations of the family would create wonderful memories gathering for holidays and special occasions in that home. He enjoyed square-dancing with his wife Shirley. Kenneth had many entrepreneurial pursuits including a hardware store, laundromat, TV repair business, and commercial and residential rental property. He was also a self-taught technical analyst of the stock market. Kenneth devoted his life to caring and providing for his family. This is evident in the legacy he has left behind.
