Hunter Everett
Price
Nov 24, 1944 — Jun 24, 2026
Edmond
Hunter Everett Price, 81, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on June 24, 2026.
He was born on November 24, 1944, in Hockley County, Levelland, Texas, to William and Verna Price.
Everett began working in the oilfields at a very young age, starting as a rig hand in Texas. He later moved to Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life, Lynda. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work and determination, establishing several successful businesses including Pioneer Transport, E. Price Services, Gator Construction, and a Texaco Station in Kingfisher. He concluded his working career as a pipeline inspector for Phillips Petroleum.
Everett was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who believed deeply in providing a better life for his family than he had growing up. He had a strong work ethic and took great pride in everything he did. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and "piddling" in his shed, always finding something to fix, build, or improve.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lynda Price of Edmond, Oklahoma; his son, Lance Price and wife Dawn of Yukon, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren: Alyssa Price of Piedmont, Oklahoma; Logan and Hope Price of Bixby, Oklahoma; Braden Price of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Zachary Price of Yukon, Oklahoma; Laurel Price and Brooke Price of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and great-grandson Beckham Womack of Piedmont, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his nieces, Patsy of Texas and Debbie of Hennessey, Oklahoma, and nephew Jerry Price of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Verna Price; his stepfather, Cody Bradley; his brothers, Bill and Dub; his sister, Rosie; his in-laws, Alex and Rachel Matheson; and nephews Audie, Larry, Donald, Darrell, Gary Lynn Sr., and niece Billy Francis.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sanders Funeral Home Chapel in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. A graveside burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery.
Everett will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated family man who loved deeply and gave selflessly. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
