Harold Lee Clark, 85, of Bartlesville, OK, died August 15, 2018, Harold Lee Clark was born March 5, 1933, in Dover (Kingfisher County), OK to Harold David and Grace Evelyn (Pierson) Clark. Harold was delivered at his grandparents' house, on Red Fork Street, Lury Oran and Agnes Clark. The attending physician was Dr. Vincent a local practitioner.
Harold Was raised and educated in Kingfisher where his father was employed as a carpenter/housing contractor. In 1950 he joined the U. S. Army and received his basic training at Ft. Riley KS. After Basic he was sent to the signal school at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, where he completed courses in basic electronics, central office repair, repeater repair and radio relay. Harold and Cathryn Lee Unverzagt were married on December 13, 1951. Cathryn is the daughter of Chris and Della Unverzagt of Midwest City, OK in 1951, after completion of signal school, he was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division near the 38th parallel in Korea where he served until February 1952. The war ended later that year. Upon his return home and a 30 day furlough he was assigned to the 1st Armored Division at Ft. Hood TX, until his honorable discharge in 1953.
Upon discharge from the Army he and Cathryn returned to Midwest City where he was employed for a short time with Humpty Dumpty Supermarkets as a manager trainee.
In June 1954 he was employed as a technical trainee in the land and geological department of Phillips Petroleum Company of Bartlesville, OK. During his career with Phillips, Harold and his family lived in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado, Florida, Mississippi and Oklahoma. He also traveled on foreign assignments to Colombia, Bolivia, Indonesia, and Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, England, Morocco, Egypt, Somalia, Mexico, and Belize.
In March of 1988, after 34 years of service, Harold retired from Phillips as Worldwide Director of Geophysical Operations. Upon retirement he continued his home in Bartlesville where he was active in the real estate investment and rental business. He also served as an exploration consultant to the oil and gas industry.
Harold has four sons, Robert Harold, David Carl, Ronald Lee and Drew Allyn. His grandchildren are: Scott Allyn Clark, John Michael Clark, Amy Michelle Clark, Ryan Keith Clark, Andrea Marie Clark, Derek Mitchell Clark, and Katie Jo Clark. 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday August 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Sanders Funeral Chapel with burial at Kingfisher Cemetery Services under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service of Kingfisher.
