Obituary

Gregory Scott Liles was born Nov. 23, 1958 to Dale and Lou Liles in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was the oldest of three children.

He died Thursday, June 13th, 2019 after battling cancer.

After Greg graduated from Bethany High School in 1977, he joined the United States Army, his new home for the following 13 years. While in the army, Greg received the Army Service Ribbon, Expert Qualification Badge, Marksman Qualification Badge, Overseas Service Ribbon, Parachute Badge, Air Assault Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Commendation Medal.

Greg spent many years in Alaska as a hunting guide and cabin builder.

Later, Greg moved to Missouri where he had a gun shop. He taught concealed carry and safety classes.

Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, ham radios, and piloting small planes.

Greg is survived by his mother, Lou Liles of Bethany, OK; sister, Sherri Birkett (husband- Tony) of Vancouver, B.C.; brother, Jeffery Liles (wife-Carole) of Kingfisher, OK; son, Dale Liles of Eaton, CO; daughter, Erin Dean of Greeley, CO.

Greg has 7 grandchildren: Samantha Liles, Kalob Haas, Aiden Haas, Memphis Dean, Jameson Dean, Harley Dean, and Mila Dean .

The family would like to thank Chad Sanders of Sanders Funeral home for helping them through this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at the Metroplex Church of the Nazarene, Hefner & Countyline Road, in Oklahoma City on July 8th, 2019 at 1:30 PM.
