Obituary

Glenda (Forbes) Carmichael, 78 of Kingfisher, passed away October 27, 2020.

My Grandma loved and adored Elvis, her laugh was contagious as all get out. She loved Oklahoma, knew so much knowledge about the state itself and our family history. She loved to drive, go for drives and travel.

She knew her vehicles too, all she ever wanted was a 56' Chevy Convertible. Grandma always looked fabulous no matter what she wore and knew it too.

She loved to watch all of us grandchildren perform, play, cheered us on for all of our accomplishments and tried to be there for all of us. Loved her Oklahoma State Cowboys.

She was a family person, she had so many friends and would call them almost daily. A devout Catholic, godly woman.

She loved country music, George Strait, Garth, Alan Jackson, Patsy Cline and Dolly were just a couple of her favorites.

She loved to go to the movies, older Gene Autry films were her absolute favorite. If someone was famous and from Oklahoma she knew who they were, what town they lived in and probably knew where that persons house was. Secretly she wanted to be famous, but in our minds she was.

She loved ice cream and southern food/home cooked food and she would let you know if it wasn't cooked right or what needed to be done.

She was our personal firecracker, going to miss her so much! WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA. Written by grandson Kyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Lorene Forbes and her husband Carl (Sonny) Carmichael.

She is survived by one sister Linda (Forbes) Schoelen of Kingfisher, two daughters Connie (Colton) Graves of Kingfisher and Kimberly and husband Jody Hyde of Oklahoma City. Two granddaughters Jill and husband Chris (Hyde) Herrera of Oklahoma City, and Kaycie and husband Trystan (Graves) Pirtle of Kingfisher. Two grandsons Kyle and wife Keely Graves of Walden, CO and Reid Hyde of Del City. Six great grandkids, Jordan, Jaxon, Evan, Kaiden, Rhyan and Daethan. Her nephews Justin and Jacob and niece Lorree. Bonus Grandson Ethan and wife Cortney Bellairs, Bree and Wade of Mitchell NE.
