Fred William Uhlenhake was born on July 27, 1928 to Frank and Augusta Uhlenhake (Unverzagt) and passed away on February 9, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He grew up in Kingfisher and attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. He then transferred to Kingfisher Public Schools and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1946.

Fred married Denelda Gill on January 22, 1948 in Oklahoma City. They celebrated 64 years of marriage before her death in 2012.

Fred was proud of his military service and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 179th Infantry, 45th Division. Upon retirement he continued farming with son, grandson and his two great-grandsons. They were his pride and joy. Fred attended all of their activities showing up with his walker or red scooter. Nothing was going to keep him away from seeing Brooks and Brenden play basketball, baseball or show cattle. Fred loved going places, seeing people, never met a stranger and truly enjoyed life to the fullest.
