Doris Lee Rooney Fondren

Doris Lee Rooney Fondren daughter of Hugh K and Vera Lee (Peggy) Rooney, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2022.

Doris was born on July 28,1927 in Muskogee Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and her husband Paul Edward Fondren. Doris leaves behind her son Paul M. Fondren whom she resided with in Kingfisher County Oklahoma, her daughter Kimberly A. Whorton and her husband Jody C. Whorton of Colorado, Grandson Jonathan C. Whorton of Colorado, two Great Grand Children also of Colorado. A Granddaughter Jennifer Husmann and her husband Jacob Husmann of Oklahoma.

Doris enjoyed many Outdoor activities and loved sports. She loved animals, nature and art.

Some of her hobbies were being outdoors hiking, meditating, Painting, Reading, collecting and selling antiques.

Doris was a Faith Practitioner within the Unity Church for many years. She was a very humble woman that loved God and her family. She was such an example of positivity, peace and love.

The caregivers and Medical professionals loved and admired her strength and positivity during her last years. She was such a blessing to those privileged to be around her.
