It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donnie Raye Jackson Jr., who departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the age of 42.
Donnie Jr. was born on September 7, 1983, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He was a 2002 graduate of Kingfisher High School, where he was active in football, basketball, and wrestling.
Donnie Jr. lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for his family and friends. When you speak of a good man, Donnie Jr. was just that. He was genuine, kind, and giving, and he was never afraid to set you straight by telling you the truth. Those who knew him knew exactly where they stood with him, and they loved and respected him for it.
Donnie was a hardworking and dedicated man throughout his career. He spent many years working in the oilfield for Baker Hughes on a rig and later held a management position at ATI. For the past four years, he served as the lead operator in the Oxygen Department at Tinker Air Force Base.
Above all, Donnie Jr. was a devoted father to his daughter, Alyssa. He treasured their father-daughter time together and always looked forward to spending weekends with her.
Donnie also found great joy in spending time with his family and friends. During the summer, especially in August, you could often find him floating on Lake Tenkiller in Tahlequah. He was the definition of a diehard sports fan and proudly supported his favorite teams, the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys.
Those who knew Donnie will also remember his love for riding his Victory motorcycle. Whether he was spending time with those he loved, cheering on his Cowboys, enjoying the lake, or out riding, Donnie embraced the things that brought him happiness.
Donnie Jr. leaves behind his beloved daughter, Alyssa Jackson of Mustang, Oklahoma; his mother, Rogena Johnson of Bethany, Oklahoma; his father, Donnie Jackson Sr. of El Reno, Oklahoma; and his sisters, Donish Jackson and Victoria Jackson, both of Bethany, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herman Johnson, Ruth Coffee, and Allen Coffee, and his paternal grandparents, Lucille Banks and Elroy Jackson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Kingfisher Nazarene Church, 414 W. Hill Drive, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service. Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor Donnie and celebrate a life that touched so many others.
Though Donnie Jr. is no longer with us in body, the memories made, lessons shared, laughter enjoyed, and love he gave will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Donnie Jr., words cannot express how much you are missed. You were taken from us far too soon. We love you, and this is not the end. We will see you again someday. Until then, travel well.
