Obituary

Carol Lee Schick passed away on May 25, 2023. She was born in Kingfisher, OK on Dec. 5, 1933 to Floyd and Mary (Francis) Haws. She graduated from Kingfisher High School and went on to attend Oklahoma A&M (OSU) and the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. She was a member of Mu Kappa Tau (Marketing Honor Society) and Kappa Phi (Christian Collegiate Fellowship). Carol was active in business, operating her own oil servicing company and later as a real estate agent. She truly enjoyed the real estate business, working until she reached the age of 80. She tutored new readers in an Adult Literacy Program after she retired and continuously baked for family and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers and their wives, Kenneth & Norma Haws and Norman & Betty Haws.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Haws (Billie); two sons, Byron Schick (Anna) and Brad Schick (Johnna); five grandchildren, Sterling Schick, Bailie Gardner, Alex Schick, Madison Schick & Morgan Schick; and three great grandchildren, Addison Schick, Luke Gardner & Riley Schick. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including Cyndy Haws & Diane Powell, who stayed close through the years.
Following this celebration of her life, held at the Sanders funeral home in Kingfisher on June 2, 2023, she will be interned at Kingfisher Cemetery. *
