Arthur Joseph Meyer went to be with the Lord on July 8th, 2024, at the age of 87.  He was born on October 27, 1936 to Edward and Margaret Meyer.  He grew up in Okarche, where he graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1955.  He served in the National Guard for three years.  He met and married Margaret Ann Duke in Oklahoma City.

He lived in Okarche his entire life with the exception of the past year where he moved to Purcell, Oklahoma to be with family.  Art worked for Kingfisher County Feed Yards for 39 years and then retired from Temtrol after 15 more years of service.  During all this time of employment, he was also a full-time farmer and rancher.  He was also a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a member of The Knights of Columbus, a member of the Parish Council, and Okarche Lions Club.

Art is survived by his son, Travis Meyer and wife Charlotte of Purcell, Ok;  sister, Josephine Benda, of Kingfisher, Ok   and one brother, Edward Meyer, of Okc.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Leo Meyer, Lavern Hauenstein, and Pauline Meyer.

Viewing for Art will be at Sanders Funeral Home in Kingfisher, OK  on Wed. July 10th,  from 9am to 5pm. Graveside service will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery Thurs. July 11th  at 10;00 am.
