Alta June (Yost) York, was born on October 31, 1927 in Omega Oklahoma to John and Vina (Castonguay) Yost. She went to join her husband Richard in heaven on January 21st, 2019. They were married April 7, 1962 in Kingfisher Ok and spent 56 happy years together.
Alta and Richard were equal Partners in their farming operation in Blaine County until they were in their mid-eighties when they had to retire and pass it on to their son and grandson. Alta was a loving mother and grandmother. She never turned down a request to babysit her grandchildren or even great grandchildren. We all spent many happy hours on the front porch with her at their big farm house on the corner of 13th Street and Airport Road.

Mark and Marcella's best memories of their moms was getting off the school bus to just out of the oven Chocolate chip cookies and warm pies with a glass of milk.

Alta is survived by one son, Mark (Lynn) York of Kingfisher, one daughter Marcella (Beelie) Biehler of Kingfisher, two step-sons, Stanley (Marilyn) York of Derby Kansas, and Phillip York of Enid. She is also survived by Six grandchildren Beelie Biehler III of Royce City Texas, Christy (Isaak Schellenberg of Kingfisher, Dusty (Jan) Biehler of Loyal, April (Brandon) Gibson of Kingfisher, Jessica (Fred) Ramer of Omega, and Matt (April) York of Red Oak Iowa. Also surviving are twelve great grandchildren Emily, Scott, and Ethan Schellenberg, Axel Biehler, Meghan and Ryann Shue and Zach and Kase Gibson Cameron, Whitney and Natalie Ramer and Ashley and Mason York.
She was proceeded in death by her parents John And Vina Yost, two brothers Herman Yost and Robert Yost, five sisters Erma Enyeart, Bertha Gosset, Doris Channel, Annie McMinn and Edna Privott, one grandson-in law Robert Shue, and great grandson Preston Ramer.
Alta's services will be at 2:00PM Thursday January 24, 2019 Sanders Funeral Service Chapel 124 East Broadway Kingfisher, Burial to follow in Kingfisher Cemetery.
